How to Use Share to Google Classroom

Follow

If you are using Google Classroom, you can now incorporate content from Issues & Controversies  into your Classroom courses with the click of a button. Sharing to Google Classroom is offered as a free service.

  • Click on the Google Classroom button to add this record.  You must have a Google Classroom account to use this service.

If you are not already logged into Google, you will be prompted to sign in to your Google account.

  • Once you have successfully signed in, you will be presented with a drop down menu to Choose a class
  • You will then be presented with a Choose action drop down menu.  This menu allows you to select how you want to share your chosen content.
    • Your four choices of action are:
      • Create assignment
      • Ask question
      • Make an announcement
      • Create Material
  • Make your selection and click the Go button to proceed.

For each option, Google Classroom automatically pulls in the record link.  As long as you are logged in to Issues & Controversies, this link will still redirect you to the selected title.

  • After you have edited your material, click Post to post the record to your class.
  • You will be taken to a confirmation page. Click the View button to view your course.

The most recent shared record will appear at the top of your course.
